Burslem National March and Rally

Lee Baron, Midlands Regional Sec has advised all CWU regions of the latest situation regarding the action being taken at Burslem.

Dear Colleagues,

Please find attached notification of a National March & Rally being held in support of striking postal workers from Burslem on Saturday 19th January 2008, full details are in the flyer.

As you will see speakers include the General Secretary Billy Hayes and Dave Ward the DGS postal, Joan Walley the local MP will be invited to speak as her support has been outstanding, the National President Jane Loftus will be chairing the rally.

I would be very grateful if you could circulate as widely as possible to all Branches, Field Officers and NEC members.

I will be speaking with the GS to look into the possibility of putting out a national Letter to Branches in Billy’s name advertising the march and rally and also Sian about press releases and advertising the march and rally on the website.
