North West Women's Forum 2008 Date Announced

This year’s North West Women’s Forum will take place on the afternoon of Saturday 1st November starting with a FREE lunch at 1pm. The venue is The Machanics Institute, Princes St, Manchester M1 6DD.

It will cover a range of subjects from Women’s Pensions to the stories of some significant times in history when we women showed how determined & strong we can be!

Karen BossonKaren Bosson, NW Regional Women's Committee Secretary afvises all involved and to those intrested in attending to promote this event amongst all CWU women members in the North west.

"It is up to us all to get the word out to our female members now to show them that the Forum will be a great event to attend & is something that the CWU & RWC is doing specifically for them."

Referring to the timing of the event Karen said,

"Having the event in the afternoon has been planned with the Postal delivery people in mind & to keep childcare cover time to a minimum. Children of secondary school age (over 11) are welcome if accompanied by an adult at all times, unfortunately there are no facilities at the Mechanics for children under the age of 11. There are 100 places in total."

Karen finished off by reminding all CWU women members that: "Please talk to people about last year's event, try to put the posters up or on tables in rest areas & generally generate as much interest as possible for this event. No other RWCs are doing anything like this yet so we are leading the way again!"

The Forum is open to ALL female CWU members

If you are would like to attend this event please register your interest by contacting Karen Bosson via email at: nwwrc@btinternet.com
