Review of Royal Mail Centres In NW Royal Mail's review of their Mail Centres is an issue of concern, and as such a document outlining the review and the CWU response has been produced. In February 2008 Royal Mail notified the CWU that they intended to review the Mail Centre Network in the North West. It must be noted that the CWU believe that the manner with which the information has been “drip fed” has not helped the CWU respond to Royal Mails proposals in the fullest way possible. In fact some of the important information i.e. some of the financial costs underpinning some of the businesses proposals were not received until as late as June 2008. At this stage, no final or preferred option has been tabled by Royal Mail. The purpose of the document is to respond formally to Royal Mails current options for the future Mail Centre Network in the North West and to present some alternative considerations baring in mind the crucial criteria of minimum disruption to employees.
